Memories (A poem that I wrote)

Lost Memories

Memories.....
They are special to us
From being so happy
And so depressing at the same time
In certain moments in the present.

Many memories serves us
As a guide of hope and happiness or as a weapon
For those who misuse them.

Lovers use memories to strengthen
Their love towards one another,
Yet the painful ones can make them
Split apart for times on end.

Friends are a real memory
When you are in need of comfort
They have the soothing effect to the heart.

But as times goes by,
We tend to lose those memories forever.
Faces changes, places transform, even pets are replaced.

Yet, the funniest thing about memories,
They are like chains that can be forever
Or they are broken apart that they can't be repaired.

One person once said this:

To find is to lose and to lose
Is to find."

I believe that one day,
The chains that I have in my mind
And heart can still be in one piece
Or it continues to break apart
That I may never get them back.

So, in the whole irony of the memories
Is that it continues to link each other to
end up like a line of steel, yet after a certain
Tension of pulling, it breaks apart.

I just want my memories to remain in tact,
Or else I am just a puppet to anyone that
Manipulates or betrays me for anyone or
Anything they want.

*blinks and sighs*

In all honesty i think that was a preaty sweet peom its so very true
